One of my first trips to Belize in 2018 inspired me to paint again after an emotional early retirement and nearly 6 years without touching a brush. These 12 paintings (not for sale) are my first oil on canvas paintings and they represent my deep connection with craftsmanship and beauty. This collection could be the marker for a new beginning in painting for me. I have always worked in architecture which lends itself towards higher key and lighter, softer colors. I was challenged to paint this dark and loved every moment of it.  

Some of my most vivid memories of life are in the dark these are some of them. I hope you enjoy them.
