Equipment De Vin approached André with a store concept that we could tell right away was personal and passionate. Agreeing to take on the project, the team at André started right away extracting the vision from the owner’s mind and creating surfaces that would convey the desired emotion correctly. 

Cheryl Webster, the owner, was quick to decide on the plaster crafted in the first round of control samples by the André team: a rich, handmade texture using acrylic and vermiculite that had a subtle pepperiness to it at first glance. The proposed texture was to be applied by hand and then aged using siennas and ochres. The aging would resemble that of an old grotto that had had water dripping down the walls for hundreds of years.
